The Rev. Dr. Paul Gaston Petznick was born in Montgomery, Alabama, is a life-long Episcopalian, and a resident of Birmingham. Rev. Dr. Petznick earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Baylor University, Waco, Texas, a DMD from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, and completed seminary studies at the School of Theology, University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. He is currently in the curacy program at the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, New Haven, Connecticut. He practiced General Dentistry for 32 years before discerning a call to the ordained ministry. His sending parish is St. Luke’s, Mountain Brook. Presently, he serves as the cleric in charge of St. Paul’s Carlowville and also serves as chaplain and counselor with the Brother Bryan Mission in Birmingham. He is married to the former Eliza Lee Paschall Esq. They have two adult children, Gaston Lee and Sarah Bibb. His son graduated this year from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, with an MBA, and his daughter is currently pursuing an MBA at Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee.
